Filters for Sediment, Taste & Odour, Iron and Manganese Removal

Multimedia Sand Filters

Multimedia Sand Filters are used for the reduction of suspended solids and turbidity in surface and groundwater systems. Ideal for use where conventional sand filters cannot cope with the amount of dirt in the water, multimedia filters boast the ability to filter down to below 5 microns, using less backwash water and operating for longer periods between backwashes. Activated Carbon Filters

Activated Carbon, manufactured from burnt coconut shells, is used to remove tastes and smells, as well as residual chlorine from drinking water supplies, industrial process water and reverse osmosis pre-treatment. To a lesser degree, activated carbon also removes organic colour, and in conjunction with the filter under-bedding used, will provide a low level of suspended solids filtration. Iron Removal Filters

Iron and manganese in groundwater supplies often leads to brown or black staining on laundry, walls or home appliances. It is essential to remove iron from reverse osmosis feed water to prevent extensive membrane fouling. Using a combination of organic manganese greensand and ozone injection, we can actively remove iron, manganese, bacteria and viruses from most water supplies, using the iron removal filter media to provide filtration levels to below 10 microns. Cartridge Filters & Strainers

For point-of-use filtration, reverse osmosis pre-treatment and filtration applications needing extremely low levels of suspended solids, cartridge filters provide a cost-effective way to treat a number of water problems. Cartridge filter configurations can remove suspended particles, taste & odour, chlorine or scale build-up. Resin based cartridge filter systems can be used to soften or deionize water supplies in limited quantities. Manual or self-cleaning strainers can be used as pre-treatment equipment for the removal of large suspended particles. Read more about our cartridge filters and strainers.
